Hmong American Day

A day of Honoring and Celebration

Hmong American Day, observed annually on May 14th, commemorates the history, culture, and contributions of Hmong Americans. It marks the date when Long Cheng, a key U.S.-Hmong military base in Laos, fell to Communist forces, and the final U.S. airlift evacuating Hmong families began. This day also recognizes our Hmong community's journey to the United States after the Vietnam War, including our resettlement and contributions to American society.
