HMoob Farmers Collective
Uplifting HMoob/Hmong farmers in the Chippewa Valley through a framework of healing, belonging, and collective growth. Farming is more than food production, it is a pathway to economic independence, land sovereignty, environmental justice, and cultural resilience.
"Belonging to land and community are inseparable."
Rooted in Hmong cultural values and community care, the Collective weaves together economic empowerment with emotional and cultural healing. We believe that belonging to land and community are inseparable, that healing from historical and systemic harm is part of restoring our right to thrive, lead, and grow.

Through leadership development, technical training, advocacy, and mutual aid, the Hmong Farmers Collective nurtures a network of farmers who support one another, share knowledge, and organize for equitable access to land, resources, and opportunities. Together, we cultivate spaces for rest, recovery, and renewal where farmers and their families can connect deeply to each other, to the earth, and to our heritage.

Ways We Support Farmers
01
USDA Grant Program TA and Support
We support local Hmong farmers with general technical assistance in applying for USDA and other small farm related grants with the notion of increasing Hmong farmers' capacity to grow local food for community, and supporting and building their economic independence.
02
Resource Sharing & Learning
Rooted in our ideology of "knowledge is power. Knowledge shared is power amplified," we share resources and opportunities with local Hmong farmers. Oftentimes, we schedule in-person events to provide support as well as host, coordinate, or collaborate with other organizations to provide farm related trainings.
