About Us
"Knowledge is power. Knowledge shared is power amplified."
Knowledge is useless if you don't share it. It is with this belief, and the concept that "Knowledge is power. Knowledge shared is power amplified," that Power Up Eau Claire was founded in 2019 as a community-led, grassroots civic engagement program grounded in gender, racial, and social justice by Pa Thao, a local community advocate. In 2024, after 4 successful years of incubating as a program, Power Up Eau Claire became a fiscal project of the Black and Brown Womyn Power Coalition, Inc. and received their IRS 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit status in Oct 2024.
